Definition of Hosted CRM

A Hosted CRM is a systematic arrangement wherein an organization outsources its CRM functions to an ASP. It hosted delivery model helps the organization to increase the return on investment by decreasing the costs and allows businesses to focus on their main business areas. Salesforce, Siebel, Sugar CRM are some popular Hosted CRMs.

Brief Description of Hosted CRM

A Hosted CRM is Customer Relationship Management software that is present over the Internet as a service where small businesses benefit from implementing CRM strategies and tools. It reduces the TCO by deploying a software based mechanism like using fewer resources for example: servers and a dedicated IT staff. It eliminates installation costs like that of hardware, software upgrades and other maintenance costs. The maintenance, backup, upgrades and system management are managed through CRM vendor. The implementation cost of a Hosted CRM is less and delivers high  rate of returns. On the other hand, In-house CRM is preferably more expensive but they are justified by more customization options.
