Explanation
Transaction monitoring refers to a security process which can be used to monitor single or all of the transactions occurring within an application running on a system. Transaction monitoring can be done by two ways i.e. manual transaction monitoring and automated transaction monitoring. Manual transaction monitoring is done using human resources and their intelligence whereas automated transaction monitoring is done using automated tools. Transaction monitoring is done to achieve to basic purposes. Either it is performed to ensure the security and validity of the transaction or it is done to measure the performance of the system during the transaction process. Both of these purposes ultimately help in improving the system’s security and performance on the basis of information collected during transaction monitoring.
